At this point you have nothing to lose by opening the bottle. Chances are, since it has been stored on its side that it is OK. Since most refrigerators are too cold for many wines to get any better by aging, the only thing that really happens is that the cork dries out. Hopefully, your Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc has enough sugar and acid to carry the day. I would pull the cork and enjoy the wine.
