I recently got back from visiting Napa Valley. While on tour at the Robert Mondavi winery, I correctly answered our tourguide's trivia question to win a $125 bottle of Robert Mondavi reserve cabernet sauvignon. (I don't think he thought anyone would actually get the answer! For those who are interested, the question is: What is California's biggest agricultural export? A: almonds). While I am normally pretty adventurous about mixing food and wines, I would like to make a special dinner that would particularly complement this wine. I was thinking I would open it in the fall and serve it with a hearty tomato-beef-sausage-based stew. Thoughts? Suggestions? Other ideas? I would definitely appreciate anything that would be a good pairing with this wine... Also, do you carry the Swanson 1999 merlot, and if so, how much is it? Thanks! Anisa
