Hello George, Go ahead and pull the cork - it'll go great with burgers, pizza and especially anything with garlic and red sauce. "Carpineto" is the family (Company?) name of the people who make the wine. The "Dogajolo" part is what's called a proprietary name. In this case it's one that Carpineto owns - no one else can use it. If memory serves there is only one Dogajolo. The IGT stands for Idicazione Geografica Typica, which is a quality level designation that is so broad that is almost meaningless. It can include some of the best as well as some lesser wines. Here, it means that the grapes, probably Cabernet Sauvignon/Sangiovese, come from inside Tuscany but from outside major production zones like Chianti, Montalcino or Montepulciano. Whew! Hope that helps and isn't too long-winded. Oh, and my birthday is next month, but I'm still working on the case I got last year. Talk to you soon.
